Data Collection

Form Snap does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.

All data (form field snapshots, profiles, settings, AI prompts) is stored locally in your browser using chrome.storage.local.

AI Fill Feature

When using the AI Fill feature, form field metadata (field names, labels, types — not values) is sent to OpenRouter's API to generate test data. This requires an API key that you provide. Form Snap does not have its own API key or backend.

No form data you've entered is sent to any server. Only empty field metadata is used for AI generation.

Permissions

• activeTab: To scan and fill form fields on the current page
• storage: To save profiles, settings, and AI prompts locally
• unlimitedStorage: To store file upload data for replay

Third-Party Services

OpenRouter (optional, user-configured): Used only for AI Fill. Subject to OpenRouter's privacy policy.
